Mitra Hajjar (In Persian: میترا حجار) (born February 3, 1977 in Mashhad, Iran) is an Iranian actress.〔http://www.imvbox.com/cast/iranian/mitra-hajjar〕 She is the winner, with an additional two nominations, for Best Actress in the Fajr International Film Festival. Her first important role was in 'Born under Libra' (1999, ''Ahmad Reza Darvish''). ==Life== Daughter to Mohamad Hajjar and Mehri Jahed, she also has one brother and one sister. She started acting with "Strangely" directed by Ahmad Amini. She has also starred in TV series, most notably "Young Police". She has acted in theatrical show "Uncle Vania" which was played in France. In 2005, she left Iran for France, an then went to America to study directorship. She lived abroad for 3 years, and she also played in an episode of the American Show "Smith". After her return to Iran, in one interview she has said: "During this time I have noticed that the quality of movies have declined greatly since I left. Six, seven years ago I was offered much better parts. But during the past two years I have read a lot of weak screenplays and fake roles.'' She received a nomination for the best actress in a supporting role for the movie "Long Goodbye".
